MADONNA'S BLOND AMBITION TOUR DANCERS IN A NEW DOCUMENTARY.
Después de 25 años del reconocido Blond Ambition Tour de Madonna, los bailarines de aquella época cuentan cómo fueron sus vidas durante y después de la gira a través de la película documental "Strike a Pose", dirigida por la escocesa Ester Gould y el holandés Reijer Zwaan.
Los seis artistas supervivientes, Luis Camacho, Oliver Crumes III, Salim Gauwloos, José Gutiérrez, Kevin Stea, Gabriel Trupin, quién falleció en 1995 y Carlton Wilborn, fueron elegidos personalmente por Madonna entre miles de candidatos y se reúnen en esta película para revelar los secretos enterrados durante tanto tiempo.
Por aquel entonces, la gira Blond Ambition Tour fue documentada en Thuth or Dare que se convirtió en una pieza de culto para la comunidad homosexual, no en vano muchos pudimos ver por primera vez un beso entre dos hombres en una pantalla de cine. Así, Madonna subía a los altares gracias a su apoyo a los derechos de los homosexuales, la liberación sexual y la lucha contra el sida.
"Strike a Pose" no es una película centrada en el cotilleo ni tampoco en Madonna, la verdadera intención de la película ha sido explorar hasta qué punto estos bailarines reinventan sus vidas una vez que su tiempo de estrellato había terminado.
El documental se estrenará en cines el próximo 26 de Mayo. /
After 25 years of Madonna's Blond Ambition Tour, the dancers of that time tell how were their lives during and after the tour through the documentary film "Strike a Pose", directed by Scottish, Ester Gould and Dutch, Reijer Zwaan.
The six survivors artists, Luis Camacho, Oliver Crumes III, Salim Gauwloos, Jose Gutierrez, Kevin Stea, Gabriel Trupin, who died in 1995 and Carlton Wilborn, were chosen personally by Madonna among thousands of candidates and they are together in this film to reveal the secrets kept for so long.
At that time, the Blond Ambition Tour was documented in Thuth or Dare that became a cult piece for the gay community, not in vain many of us could see for the first time a kiss between two men on a movie screen. So, Madonna went up to the stages to support gay rights, sexual liberation and the fight against AIDS.
"Strike a Pose" is not a movie centered on gossip or Madonna, the intention of the film was to explore to what extent these dancers reinventing their lives once their time of stardom had ended.
The documentary will be released in theaters next May 26.
