El Servicio Nacional del Consumidor (SERNAC) de Chile, apeló a una demanda colectiva contra la productora, T4F, encargada del concierto de Madonna el pasado 19 de Diciembre de 2012 en el Estadio Nacional de Santiago de Chile.
Esta medida se lleva a cabo debido a los miles de reclamos de los consumidores afectados que presentaron sus quejas luego de haberse sentido involucrados por ciertos incumplimientos durante el desarrollo del show, tales como el atraso de casi dos horas en el inicio del concierto, algunos cambios en la lista de canciones y la duración del concierto, el cual se acortó unos 40 minutos respecto del resto de los espectáculos realizados en otros país donde se presentó.
Por lo anterior, el SERNAC remitió un comunicado a T4F, tras lo cual la productora señaló que no tenían responsabilidad en los hechos denunciados por los consumidores, indicando que los problemas presentados se debieron a la lluvia de ese día, la que podía afectar a los bailarines y al montaje del show.
Tras analizar los casos, el organismo pide a los tribunales que la productora indemnice a los asistentes afectados y que se le apliquen a T4F las multas correspondientes por haber infringido la Ley del Consumidor. /
The National Consumer Service (SERNAC) of Chile, demanded the entertainment producer, T4F, responsible for Madonna concert last December 19th, 2012 at the National Stadium in Santiago de Chile.
This action takes place because of the thousands of consumer complaints after having felt involved by certain breaches during the development of the show, such as the delay of nearly two hours at the start of the concert, some changes in the set list and the duration of the concert, which was shortened about 40 minutes compared to the rest of the shows performed in other countries.
Therefore, the SERNAC sent a statement to T4F. The entertainment producer said that they had no responsibility in the events reported by consumers, indicating that the problems encountered were due to rain that day, which could affect dancers and the assembling of the show.
After analyzing the case, the agency asked the court to compensate the affected assistants and apply T4F the corresponding fines for breaking the Consumer Law.
