LIVE NATION IN TALKS TO ACQUIRE MADONNA AND U2 MANAGEMENT COMPANIES.
Según New York Times, Live Nation está negociando un acuerdo valorado en más de $30 millones que traería la principal administración, encabezada por el manager de U2, Paul McGuinness, desde hace mucho tiempo, y Maverick, dirigido por el socio y manager de toda la vida de Madonna, Guy Oseary.
McGuinness y Oseary son dos de los managers más destacados en el mundo de la música y si se llega a un acuerdo, Oseary se haría cargo de la gestión diaria de U2.
En una declaración, McGuinness dijo:

According to the New York Times, Live Nation is negotiating a deal valued at more than $30 million that would bring Principle Management, headed by longtime U2 manager Paul McGuinness, and Maverick, run by Madonna’s longtime partner and manager, Guy Oseary.
McGuinness and Oseary are two of the most prominent manager/executive figures in the music biz and if a deal is concluded, Oseary would take over day to day management of U2.
In a statement, McGuinness said:
“I am delighted that Live Nation, who with Arthur Fogel have been our long term touring partners, have joined us in creating this powerful new force in artist management. I have long regarded Guy Oseary as the best manager of his generation, and there is no one else I would have considered to take over the day-to-day running of our business.”
