Madonna se encuentra en Haití para visitar los proyectos humanitarios que su ex marido Sean Penn ha estado supervisando desde el devastador terremoto de la nación caribeña en 2010, según ha dicho el actor Sean Penn el Lunes.
Penn dijo en una breve llamada telefónica a The Associated Press que había invitado a Madonna, con quien ha mantenido una gran amistad con los años, a visitar varias veces el lugar y que había venido con su hijo Rocco. Dijo que llegaron hace un par de días, y que no estaba seguro de cuándo se iría.
“Ella está aquí, ella está viendo, ha hecho el esfuerzo de venir hasta aquí, y estoy muy emocionado por eso”, dijo Penn, quien agregó que espera que Haití podría inspirarla a buscar una causa en el país. “Ella tiene una plataforma única y dondequiera que ella opte para traer eso, está muy bien.” /

Penn said in a brief phone call to The Associated Press that he had invited Madonna, with whom he has maintained a great friendship over the years, to visit several times and that she had come with her son Rocco. He said they arrived a couple of days ago, and he wasn't sure when she would leave.
“She's here, she's seeing, she's made the effort to come here, and I'm thrilled by that,” Penn said, adding that he hoped Haiti might inspire her to seek out a cause in the country. “She has a unique platform, and wherever she chooses to bring that to, it's very well.”
